The KING YS-"X" Now uses an OHaus Scout SPX-223 Balance with capacity of 220 grams and readability of 0.001 grams for increased accuracy. This allows the scale to round the yield value to 1, as was our standard in the past. Customers love this balance because it is smaller, basic and easy to use. It is lighter and, because it can operate with battery, it is much more portable. The balance comes programmed with a custom configuration for different textile and fabric applications. The last number in the model signifies which configuration. The model number / configuration is the same as the UYS systems.
The configurations are based on whether you want to measure in Grams/Sq Meter or Ounces/Sq Yard or both, and whether you want to cut 1 sample or 8 samples. The five options we supply are seen in the table below.
