The AP30TUR series is equipped with dual optic paths and detectors to ensure accuracy to comply with industry standards. It combines two methods - the nephelometric method and the transmitted method - and is compliant with ISO 7027 standard and EPA method 180.1.
The Dual optic paths and detectors with NIR light sources eliminate color interference and stray light to ensure accuracy. The AP30TUR is water-resistant, has long battery life and has memory for up to 5000 measurements. USB makes it easy to transfer data to a PC. It is built robustly making it ideal for field applications.
The AP30TURH is designed to handle warmer environments, and the AP30TURL is designed for a lower temperature range in cooler ambient conditions. Each model is sold individually or in a carrying case with: 4 25mm vials, 4 AAA batteries, 2 cleaning brushes, 2 cloths, screwdriver, 2 5 ml cylinders and a micro USB cable. Turbidity measurement has many applications in agriculture, wastewater treatment, industrial processes, environmental monitoring, research and development. Turbidity measures water clarity which is crucial for human health. Cloudy or murky water may indicate silt, algae, plankton, sewage, pathogens, bacteria, Giardia lamblia or cryptosporidium which can negatively affect drinking water, aquatic life, ecosystems or quality of food and beverage products.
Low turbidity is essential to hydroponic growing, as cloudy water can disrupt absorption of nutrients and stunting plant growth and promote pathogens leading to disease. It can also disrupt plants from receiving nutrients in soil.
