The Conductivity meter has many applications in agriculture, wastewater treatment, industrial processes, environmental monitoring, research and development. It can measure conductivity or determine Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in water to manage the health of our ponds and rivers. TDS is the sum of all chemical IONS in the water. TDS in a pond is affected by use of the nearby land. It is important to monitor TDS for indications of pollution. TDS above 1000 mg/l indicate a water quality problem.
This is a great, simple product for students, interns and volunteers to take into the field.
