New from Crosby Straightpoint, the Self-Indicating Dynamometer is a low cost, lightweight load cell that is designed to replace outdated mechanical load cells still in use. It is available in only one capacity of 14300 lb (6500 kg). The SID provides solutions for close proximity load monitoring, such as when operating lever or chain hoists at height or lifting vehicle engines. It contains an advanced microprocessor based electronics that provide the SID with high speed read rates, extreme resistance to industrial level noise and unprecedented stability. The SID has a large, easy to read LED screen for fast, accurate readings. Alternatively the SID can be combined with a Crosby SP handheld display for connection from a distance or for the ability to read up to 4 dynamometers at a time. Ergonomic! Lightweight! Easy to Use!

The SID is constructed from high quality aircraft aluminum which has a safety factor of over 6.1. The compact, lightweight design does not sacrifice on strength.

Ideal applications include small lifts such as Aircraft or motor vehicle engine installations, rigged with gantry crane, steel beam fabrication, general weighing, transportation tie downs, towing or linesman tensioning.
